FLAMENCO ON TOUR

Attention dance and music lovers! FLAMENCO ON TOUR brings flamenco artists direct from Seville, Spain, together with leading Canadian flamenco dancer Lia Grainger, for a spectacular evening of flamenco music and dance that will transport you to the warmth and passion of Andalucía's flamenco clubs.
With roots in southern of Spain flamenco is known for its hypnotic rhythms, passionate singing and dancing, and intricate guitar playing. FLAMENCO ON TOUR brings renowned flamenco artists to Canadian audiences, including Dora Award nominated dancer Lia Grainger, Seville based flamenco guitarist Dennis Duffin, and Seville-based flamenco singer and percussionist Dani Carbonell.

F for Flamenco Festival
Lia is serving as co-artistic director and co-curator of the 2025 F for Flamenco Festival.

Lia will be a featured dance artist in the F for Flamenco’s gala performance, “F for Feria.”

Collaboration with Groove&
Lia will travel to Seoul, Korea for a two week residency and creation period, to collaborate with Korean percussion ensemble Groove&. The collaboration is made possible by the Canada Council for the Arts’ Canada-Korea Co-Creation Fund.
Fall/Winter 2025

"Oscar"
Lia will co-produce “Oscar,” a retrospective of the work of master choreographer and dancer, Oscar Nieto. Lia will work under the artistic direction of Oscar Nieto and alongside co-producer Michelle Harding. The work will be presented in Vancouver in the Fall/Winter 2025. Made possible by funding from Canada Council for the Arts and the British Columbia Arts Council.
