ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE
Flamencolía Ensemble is an esteemed collective of nationally renowned flamenco artists, including Dora Award nominated dancer Lia Grainger, Jewish-Indigenous flamenco singer and dancer Tamar Ilana of Ventanas and Jaffa Road, legendary Canadian flamenco guitarist Nicolas Hernandez (formerly of Jesse Cook's touring band), Latin singing sensation Ana Lía, and Cuban percussionist Chendy León. Flamencolía Ensemble performs flamenco music and dance infused with Latin, Mediterranean and contemporary flair. The group completed their first Canadian tour in 2023.
